Sabhloks

The Sabhloks branched out from a family that was gifted 25 acres of land near Pindigheb in the 1820s by Hari Singh Nalwa, the Commander-in-chief of the Sikh Khalsa Fauj, the army of the Sikh Empire of  Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The term is a shortened version (sandhi) of “Sabhya” and “Lok”.

Some members of the family use Sabhlok, others Sablok.
